Whoopi Goldberg has made her views clear on Elon Musk’s $44 billion Twitter acquisition, declaring she is ‘done’ with the platform.

Describing the new owner as a ‘mess’ during a segment on The View, panelist Goldberg listed all the reasons why she is bidding farewell to Twitter once and for all.

Saying that the billionaire “called back some of the employees he fired a few days ago” and that he “suspended Kathy Griffin for impersonating on a parody account” as well as the blue tick verification fees surrounding the Plan, the star did not stop.

The Sister Act star announced, “I’m getting out today because I feel like, you know, it’s so messy and I’m just tired of some kind of approach being blocked and now they’re back “

The 66-year-old hasn’t ruled out returning to Twitter if the situation settles down in the future. She continued: “I’m just about to head out and if it goes well and I feel more comfortable, maybe I’ll come back. But as of tonight, I’m done with Twitter.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin described the social media app as ‘such a hellscape’. and revealed that he had stopped reading it a while back. On the other hand, she admitted that she has learned about some social movements through Twitter, so she is torn about whether to continue using it or not.

Hostin declared, “You’ve got this Elon Musk, who never intended it to be this way.” Don’t want to leave out valuable information that could be kept in there.”

Soon after acquiring the social networking company, Musk, 51, said he would launch a paid version of Twitter Blue to give users of the platform ‘exclusive access to premium features costing $7.99 (£6.97) each month.

However, it appears that the company is reportedly re-hiring some of the employees who were laid off, Bloomberg reports.

The publication said that ‘according to two people familiar with the moves’, some employees were ‘mistakenly’ fired.
