Report Suggests Elon Musk May Know Who The Next Twitter CEO Will Be

Tesla (TSLA) – Get Free Report Since CEO Elon Musk spent $44 billion to buy social networking website Twitter (TWTR) in October 2022 – Get Free Report, things have gotten… a little erratic out there.

From reports of “work long hours or you’re fired” to abandoning a host of security features and more than half of its advertisers fleeing the platform, Twitter is in a state of crisis.

Musk has selectively addressed the issues, taking a vote on Twitter to ask users whether or not he should remain CEO.

More than half voted yes, prompting the billionaire to promise he would find a replacement – although he indicated that was unlikely to happen until late 2023.

However, a new report from the platformer suggests that Musk already has someone — and it’s someone he’s already working with.

That person is Steve Davis, CEO of The Boring Company owned by Musk. It is best known for its ambitious Hyperloop project, a tunnel system that will take commuters from New York to Washington D.C. in less than 30 minutes.

Davis and Musk have worked together since 2003, with Davis being one of the first people Musk hired for SpaceX.

In addition to his current role at The Boring Company, Davis has also played an active role in Twitter’s transition team, which Musk has tasked with cutting costs by $500 million. Instead, Davis raked in nearly $1 billion — all while sleeping in the Twitter offices with his wife and newborn child.
