Few things in life have thrilled me more than the prospect of seeing Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg tape their knuckles up and step into a ring to settle their differences like a couple of Macaque monkeys tussling over a piece of fermented fruit.
If you haven’t heard about this, I beg you to do a quick Google search and acquaint yourself with the bizarre feud currently unfurling between two of Silicon Valley’s biggest execs.
If you’re too lazy to do that, the short version is this: Zuck and Musk, two of the world’s richest, most ridiculous individuals, claim they’re going to beat each other up for the benefit of a live audience—potentially at the Octagon in Las Vegas.
It is difficult to determine with certainty whether this situation is a publicity stunt or a genuine disagreement between the two individuals. However, the notion of witnessing two billionaires, who are more familiar with the glow of computer monitors, engage in a physical altercation does have an element of excitement. Interestingly, it seems that the only two individuals who are not thrilled by this concept are Elon Musk’s parents.
According to separate statements made by Elon Musk’s parents, both his mother and father have expressed their disapproval of the upcoming sporting event involving their son. They have individually conveyed their distaste for the event in their statements.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Errol Musk, Elon Musk’s father, openly acknowledged that the upcoming fight does not present a favorable image for his son.
Errol Musk further expressed his concerns in the interview, highlighting the potential negative outcomes for Elon Musk in the upcoming fight. He mentioned that if Elon were to win the fight due to his physical advantages, he might be labeled as a bully. On the other hand, if Elon were to lose the fight, the humiliation would be significant. Errol Musk’s perspective is that Elon stands to face criticism regardless of the fight’s outcome.
According to TMZ Sports, there is indeed a notable difference in height and weight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. Musk stands at 6 feet 1 inch tall, while Zuckerberg is reported to be 5’7″. Additionally, Musk is noticeably heavier than Zuckerberg.
However, it’s worth noting that Zuckerberg has been training extensively, which could potentially offset the disadvantages in height and weight if Musk is not in peak physical condition during the fight.
While Musk may not be in his best physical shape currently, he is said to be in better condition compared to a year ago.
In addition, Errol Musk mentioned that his son, Elon, possesses knowledge of certain kung-fu moves. However, he expressed doubts about Elon’s killer instinct, suggesting that he may lack the necessary aggression to defeat Mark Zuckerberg in the fight.
“Elon aced purple belt in JKA (Japanese Karate Association), the best. But he does not know how to go for the kill. He cares too much.”
Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, appears to share concerns about her son’s involvement in planning a fistfight with another middle-aged billionaire. She expressed her worries and attempted to dissuade Elon from pursuing a path of violence through a series of recent tweets. Maye Musk took to social media in an effort to guide her son away from such confrontational actions.
Last week, Maye Musk took to Twitter and suggested that any disagreements or conflicts between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg should be resolved through verbal exchanges rather than physical confrontations.
She humorously proposed a scenario where they engage in a battle of wits while seated in armchairs, four feet apart, with the funniest person being declared the winner. In another tweet, she playfully claimed to have “cancelled” the fight herself.
Additionally, Maye Musk playfully scolded right-wing podcaster Lex Fridman for encouraging the match, implying her disapproval of the idea.
The involvement of Elon Musk’s parents in the discussion adds an amusing element, considering Elon’s perceived demeanor resembling that of a tall third grader despite his immense wealth. The notion that his parents treat him as if he were still a young boy in need of guidance and control can be seen as a humorous observation, given his status and achievements.
While the idea of an epic showdown between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg might be entertaining to some, it’s important to remember that promoting physical confrontations goes against the principles of peaceful resolution and fair competition.
Encouraging such a fight can perpetuate a culture of violence and may not align with responsible and ethical behavior. It’s best to focus on constructive dialogue, collaboration, and finding common ground to address any differences or disputes.
