Elon Musk goes low against Zuckerberg as Twitter-Threads spat intensifie

Twitter owner Elon Musk has suggested he and Mark Zuckerberg should have “a literal dick-measuring contest” in the latest broadside aimed at his rival billionaire.

In a message inspired by the Meta chief executive’s launch last week of Threads, a Twitter competitor, Musk added a ruler emoji.

Using a slang word for “cuckold”, popular in rightwing circles as a term of derision, he also wrote: “Zuck is a cuck.”

TechCrunch reported that Threads had amassed 100 million users by Monday.

Since its acquisition by Elon Musk for $44 billion last year, Twitter, which boasts approximately 250 million active users, has encountered numerous controversies and technical issues.

According to the CEO of Cloudflare, Twitter’s website traffic is reportedly declining, indicating a downward trend. This decrease in traffic suggests that users may be shifting to alternative platforms like Threads, BlueSky, and Mastodon.

During the launch of Threads, Mark Zuckerberg expressed his vision for the platform, stating that the objective was to maintain a friendly environment as it expands. He believed that fostering a friendly atmosphere would be crucial to the platform’s ultimate success.

Zuckerberg also mentioned that one of the reasons Twitter didn’t achieve as much success as he believed it could was due to the lack of emphasis on maintaining a friendly environment.

He expressed a desire to approach Threads differently and prioritize a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to set it apart from Twitter’s shortcomings.

It appears that there have been reports or statements suggesting that Elon Musk has proposed a mixed martial arts bout with Mark Zuckerberg.

However, it is important to note that these types of proposals are often made in a lighthearted or humorous manner, and it’s uncertain if there is any serious intention behind such a suggestion.
